A great Journey through all the Italian Regions,
rediscovering the purest soul of the "Bel Paese",
through Horse Trail Riding.
The project aims to create the first National Equestrian Trail; a route that runs uninterruptedly through all the regions of Italy, in the most environmentally preserved areas, predominantly along the Alpine arc and the Apennine backbone. It is a journey into the environmental soul of our country, as far as possible from inhabited areas.
L’obiettivo è realizzare un itinerario accuratamente mappato e descritto in ogni aspetto per renderlo liberamente fruibile agli amanti del turismo equestre. Il viaggio coprirà circa 7.500km con una durata approssimativa di 18 mesi e toccherà tutte le ragioni d’Italia. Lo farò montando due muli, accompagnato unicamente dai miei cani e con il minimo supporto logistico.

The practical aim is to organically connect and integrate existing hiking routes with ancient and historically rich pathways; rediscovering mule tracks, drovers' roads, and ancient trails, testaments to the age-old relationship between man and nature.
A conclusione del viaggio vorrei proporre una narrazione visiva del concetto di viaggio; una narrazione trasversale tra arte, reportage e documentazione. Questo sarà possibile grazie al supporto di professionisti con competenze diverse. A conclusione del percorso un evento-mostra potrà offrire l’occasione per confrontarsi sul tema del viaggio in tutte le sue accezioni, ponendo come tema di fondo i drastici cambiamenti dei nostri tempi: dal rapporto con noi stessi, a quello con il prossimo e con l’ambiente naturale.
The book would also seek to contain, in addition to the equestrian trails maps, reflections, images, insights, and visions that can inspire anyone who wishes to “set off on a journey” in the saddle and in life.
